EHS Specialist (Sierra Circuits)

 

Sierra Circuits is an ISO 9001:2008, ISO 13485:2003 and MilSpec MIL-PRF-55110 certified, Silicon Valley-based, high-technology Printed Circuit Boards manufacturer and Assembler. We specialize in quick turn PCBs and medium production. Unlike some PCB companies that are simply brokers/middlemen, we are the actual manufacturer and assembler of our PCBs.

Job Functions:

Insure compliance with the Waste Water, Bay Area Quality, OHSA and Fire Department
Implement policies and procedures and the best practices for environmental regulatory compliance and health and safety programs.

Provide company-wide EHS support and training.

Environmental health and safety managers inspect and evaluate the environment, equipment and processes in working areas to ensure compliance with government safety regulations and industry standards.

Main goal is to protect employees, customers and environment.

Identify potentially hazardous biological, chemical and radiological materials and collect samples for analysis.

Recommend changes to protect workers and educate employees on how to prevent health problems through the use of safety training programs.

Investigate accidents to identify the causes and find ways to prevent them in the future
Safety control program management

Assist with the accident investigation process, including interviews, accident reporting, claim reporting and submission, medical clinic assistance, and communicating claim updates
 
Qualifications:

  • 2 years minimum experience in environmental compliance
  • BS degree Engineering, Chemistry or related field
  • Ability to read and understand federal, city and state regulations
  • Strong planning, organizational, problem solving, communication, and relationship building skills are essential
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work and lead with limited direct supervision
